I fell in love at first sight and would like to introduce and promote this special place before I launch into showing off Kafue. Libby and Andy built the camp ablutions and their secluded lodge themselves and have created something unique and outstanding. You will very soon see why....

Toilet facilities, each with a basin

Attention to detail is everywhere in this camp site

The door latch for the loo and the door hinge, ingenious

A wooden window covering

2 outdoor/indoor showers

A waterfall shower with a perfectly placed boulder for doing those 'lady' things or just to sit while scrubbing feet

Not to mention towel/clothes hooks and somewhere to put shampoo and soap. This smacks of a women's touch

The shower block and washing up area

Dishes and clothes are no longer a chore in this environment. Recycling is also necessary here
We were fortunate enough to visit the lodge and were blown away by the artistry, creativity, carpentry and design. Take a look through my eyes.....

A magnificent entry into the open air lounge-dining rooms. The tree stump archway is superbly joined, what craftmanship!

2 pathways lead off the main lodge to the rooms

The dining area, a doorway at the back leads off to a toilet and further down the path is the kitchen block

A lovely veranda for reading and relaxing

Entranceway into the lounge-dining area. Take a look at the ceiling...

An absolute masterpiece

A decently stocked library in the lounge

A fire pit for those lovely evening get togethers

The views from the lodge

A natural rock pool for those hot summers days and not too cool winter ones too

View from the river

A novel sign to guide guests to their room

Each room is secluded for utmost privacy

and built on a beautiful stretch of river

The entrance to one room

and down a walkway to a perfect cocoon of luxury

Breathtaking views of unspoilt, private waterway
Kasabushi, named after the otters found here, is a unique getaway in the heart of Kafue National Park, one of the last true wildernesses. Please contact Libby on info@undiscoveredzambia.com for bookings. I have no doubt you will also fall in love and not want to leave!
